but people aren't going to shut their lives down for a year plus.

People are going to make risk assessments for themselves and decide the risk is worth the "reward" of living their lives and not being financially destitute. Everything else will follow from that. I could see football getting pushed back a bit, but to have it canceled completely would mean that we have much bigger problems than missing football (and I just don't see that happening).
