who dares criticize another player in the program who has come and gone without contributing is somehow advocating playing players to keep them in the program at all costs.

No one is saying that. You are. It’s no different than someone inferring that you praising the coaching staff on the handling of such a player being interpreted as you completely saying it is the players fault in all cases that they left.
