Cuonzo is also a slightly above avg basketball coach. Haith is a better recruiter it appears than Cuonzo so he likely would be working with better talent, but Cuonzo strength as a defensive basketball coach likely is more valuable than Haith's strength as an offensive basketball coach in this era of little talent and offensive fundamentals. Haith would have probably succeeded to a higher level had we retained him than Cuonzo will end up doing, but Cuonzo is also taking over a cratered mess so his job is considerably more difficult. It should also not be undersold that Haith appears to have a much stronger ability to put together a good supporting staff, which has been an area of weakness for Cuonzo.
