At this point, no one really knows.
The flu kills about 0.1% of people who contract it in the U.S.
WHO said the coronavirus mortality rate is up to 3.4% right now, but that's based on known cases of it, so the real number could be lower. If the mortality rate actually is anywhere close to that high, the coronavirus death toll will easily outpace what we see from the flu every year.
