1. Your premise is false. Nurses have testified as to witnessing children who were born alive during abortion attempts who were killed after the fact. Hospitals have admitted they have performed "therapeutic abortions" where the mothers were induced and the children, many of whom were viable, were just given comfort care (wrapped in a blanket) and were given no food, water or medical treatment. They were just left to languish and die.

2. Again, we are talking about what the Democrats will do if electd. They fought tooth and nail against the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Act last year:
