Pence is a guy who wrote an op-ed belittling the dangers of smoking. Pence is a guy who said "condoms are a very, very poor protection against sexually transmitted diseases." Pence is a guy who says the planet is cooler now than 50 years ago.

and of course he botched the HIV response. Although he eventually authorized the needle program, he was slow, and ignored the please from the folks out in the counties. He even took off several days to pray about it.

So yeah, I think one could argue that Pence is not the best choice.
