I agree on the government not interfering

My suggestion yesterday would be the stock exchanges would regulate it. To be listed on their exchange, certain rules would have to be followed.
How would that be an impossible task? Everyone has information at the same time. Maybe some people would not use the information, and some would...and then people would use it in different ways....but at least the basic pertinent info is available to everyone at the same time.
The best analysts (outside of the ones with insider information) are the ones that put various bits of information together using "public knowledge" to basically build up a report trying to guesstimate what the company will report. Some analysts sell this information, while some make that public.
