HUGE missed opportunity

This might be a mute point b/c of the loss to FL, but read at the end of the ColumbiaMissourian article: "MU lessening it's odds of climbing into 8th place to secure a place in the WNIT". So first off lets say 7th place Tenn. makes the NCAA tourney. This seems to imply that despite MU having an overall less than .500 record, the way the WNIT is selected is it takes the top team in the conference after the NCAA tourney selections have been made, i.e. ones' conference record as opposed to overall record. So if this is true, what a HUGE lost opportunity by losing to FL yesterday. Yes MU still has a chance to finish 8th: last 4 games all winnable, while FL and GA have tough schedules ahead, but geez what a big chance they missed yesterday (and losing that late 4th quarter lead to Ark)
