Sometimes you have to dig deeper to understand a 2* rating

The kid may be more than athletic or talented enough to compete at the D1 level; but perhaps started football late. Or his position wasn't accentuated by his team; i.e., a WR on a running team, or a RB on a passing team. Sometimes the players are from smaller schools, out of the spot light, don't have the financial backgrounds to make the big recruiting camps. Some are from rural areas. Goes on and on. There are many 2*'s that can be developed into 4* players if given enough support and time. Usually they make an impact as Juniors or Seniors. We've feasted off of them forever. But if they're quality people and motivated; they're worth having on your roster. No doubt about it.
