Article 1, Section 3, Clauses 4 and 5. The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.

Article I, Section 3, Clause 6 states The Chief Just is PRESIDING over the impeachment...... but does not make him President of the Senate during an impeachment.
