I don't think either government represents their people, but Saudi Arabia isn't only Iran's problem. Most of the Muslim world doesn't like the House of Saud ruling the Islamic heartland. It's a fragmented, horribly repressive family that rules over a tribal desert with a ton of oil. Now, fair or not, Arabs put more blame on America and the West than the kingdom of Saudi for all of this.

Saudi Arabia is also far more repressive to its own people than Iran is, and far less democratic. Not saying Iran is free or democratic, but they have democratic institutions in place dating back to 1906 that Saudi Arabia has zero of. Both sides have soul searching to do, but Iran will be a regional power no matter what....Saudi Arabia is a recent creation and has much more potential to fragment.
