You do realize this is the same tactic that the Donald employs every day, don't you?

If someone accuses him of anything, rightly or wrongly, he attacks them as "sad" "weak" "small" "fake".....it's an effective deflection strategy designed to get people to question whether the behavior was bad or the accusation is false and flawed.

So, if you're asking yourself how Comey became head of the FBI, you also have to be asking yourself how Trump became President. At least if you're intellectually honest.
