steals your wife's jewelry. Robber A brags about this and gives his wife some of the jewelry. Robber B hears this and takes it from Robber A's wife.

Robber A is not a victim, nor truly is Robber A's wife. But Robber B still knows he in possession of stolen goods. I think that still defines the actions of Robber B as theft.
