part where the FISC verifies the content of the data presented to the court? Who does the verification of the signed affidavits, for example?

You're mistaking reviewing the information and verifying sworn statements presented here.

The issue in the Page warrant is it is alleged an FBI Agent falsified a sworn document. That isn't something the FISC judge re-verifies.
