You said no where in your post anything about cutting mandatory spending.

You continue to defend and vote for the clowns that do nothing...and then you continue to claim how bad the Democrats are.

Social Security should at best be reduced to a welfare program and means tested, and should be slowly eliminated allowing for the capital for retirement to be left with the people...and then a vast decrease in spending.

Medicare should be eliminated at the Federal level, and returned at best to the state and local governments to deal with.
