Does anyone think any of the current dem candidates would do better?

To me it's all spending, but so much is considered mandatory 60%, making it nearly impossible to balance by only cutting the remaining 40%.

Why? total defense, nondefense is about 1.263 trillion. Means a balanced budget requires eliminating nearly all discretionary spending.

Of course, we could have a massive tax increase.

Which, would only make dems spend even more.

we are going to keep borrowing, spending until we can't pay interest anymore and default.
