if you think about it, impeachment is just a statement that we don't like what you're doing (or not-doing in the case of a POTUS who does nothing) and then the vote is a 2/3rds vote of the elected representatives of the various states. So in our framework, if you get 2/3rds of the folks to vote that they think a person should be removed...well....

I think we'd do well to remember that the Framers were worried about a POTUS having too much sway, but I doubt even they conceived of one having the power that our POTUS has today.
