As alluded to below, normally having a backcourt of JT Tiller and Zaire Taylor as viewed through the lens of traditional recruiting would be wildly underwhelming. But it was actually the perfect backcourt to what Mike Anderson was trying to do with his system.
Thus far Cuonzo has had to operate with a lot of square pegs fitting into round holes, and defensively it has mostly worked out. I don't think what we have done offensively so far under him is reflective at all of the way he wants to play. He seems to be taking odd reaches on lots of players, but it just may be that they possess the characteristics that he values for his system that from a national recruiting perspective are undervalued.
