Should not expect Coach Martin to out-recruit UNC or UK, but

so far, in this class, he's only out-recruited Southern Utah and Jacksonville St. You can't expect to beat teams in the SEC with Big Sky or Ohio Valley talent.

I'm a big fan or Coach Martin. I hope he retires here after a long, successful career. I think he is a fabulous leader. If I had a son with D1 talent, I'd be thrilled to see him play under the tutelage of Cuonzo Martin.

That said, he has to be able to win some recruiting battles against teams like Kansas State, Buffalo, and Butler.

Blue Bloods don't recruit; they select. We weren't going to pry Fletcher from UK or Love from UNC. They battle against each other for players, but teams on the outside looking in are just that.

But we have to do better than Southern Utah and Jacksonville State.
