pummeled us with tariffs as we asked them nicely to stop. It's why our military spends a great deal on weapons we hope to never use. We are not great fans of those weapons, but we know without deterrent we are at greater risk.

The only way to get these nations to stop with their tariffs is to make it so painful on them they must. That is the gamble and negotiation. In the short run, there is pain. But that is part of the process if you truly want to change the dynamic.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
