written by Isaiah. Isaiah lived in the 8th century. The "prophecy" is written in the post-exilic era 200 years later. Isaiah 44 & 45 talk about Cyrus, the Persian ruler who freed the Jews from Babylonian captivity. Isaiah 40-66 are a totally different writer centuries later than chapters 1-39.
The servant of the Lord is used often to refer to Israel, not a person such as Isaiah 49:3, but a couple chapters later Christians interpret it to mean Jesus.
The interpretation is based off the incorrect idea it comes from a prophet Isaiah, from text that was edited and added centuries later and falsely attributed to Isaiah
