We don't tend to keep stats on mid atlantic, because no one cares, no one lives there. Yet. you seek to use mid atlantic to prove your point.

You also have not presented any proof the cyclones are having greater intensity either.

Impacts may indeed be more expensive, but that's not necessarily storm force, but the increased number of people , building on coast.
