As they say. Hindsight is 20/20. Truman did the right thing. He used the best available weapons in our arsenal in order to prevent a seaborn invasion of Kyushu that would have cost over a quarter of a million American lives. Good on ole Harry for caring more about the American soldier than what later generations might think of his decision.
