I get that..been there...and believe it can happen..and it is good that people want to do that...IMO.

However, I am learning more and more everyday, that use of force (and through government) just does not work well...and is perceived by many to be negative vs positive and generally does more harm than good.

I used to be a believer that short term pain can result in long term gain. The evidence is not only...not there...it runs contrary. The people we are trying to save end up hating us more....and there are many good reasons for that.

for similar reasons, why I no longer support the war on drugs, and am leaning to being against many more "victimless crimes".

The funny thing is...people like tiggrrr, 4Tigs, hokie, MUTGR, and Spanky moved me in that direction faster than you, ummmm, or 90...I guess you all showed the light...and they made sure to shine it brightly.
