I would say they hired people who were different to bring in different ideas. That is how you CHANGE.

Diversity for the sake of diversity..of course it does not work. Diversity as a strategy to continue to bring in new ideas or understand different backgrounds on where the market is going..or even how to market to different customers...

I would be willing to bet ...leaders of companies that really changed their industries were open to different thoughts and actually encouraged it, and wanted real debate on how to get it done.
