effect USA Soccer pays the clubs who pays the player to play professional soccer. NWSL is a money loser for USA Soccer but players still make decent money (just not nearly as much as men)
The men get paid by their private clubs who pay while USA Soccer only pays for the national team appearances
FIFA pays out World Cup winnings based on the TV contracts. Men's World Cup TV revenue dwarfs what the Women's WC gets but the interest in women's WC is growing
It's a silly argument by the ladies. Even the Australian Women's team is fighting this
Bottom line is the men make 7 times more because their clubs bring in a lot of TV revenue and FIFA brings in Billions
