I think we should be reasonably good next year

But we haven't done it yet. I'm saying IF we have another bad year unexpectedly.
Injuries impacted our roster considerably last year, but there were certainly times towards the end of the year where we were massively untalented. That was probably one of the top 3 or 4 least talented MU teams of my lifetime. Not terribly unexpected given the hole we had to dig out of, but if we lose Micheal/Jontay/Tilmon all without really getting much production at all from them that is a huge missed opportunity and the kind of things that make it hard for a program to rebuild.
I think we will be fine. I think once we upgrade the athleticism defensively we will be a force, because we have been pretty good defensively even with our non-talented rosters. I'm hopeful the reason our offense is so clunky is because we haven't had a pg, and maybe this season changes that. But we do have to actually see it happen. Another terrible year, even unexpectedly, could have really bad long term impacts.
