Religions all teach the same basic values

There are no values drawn from traditional religions that are in diametric opposition.
I had a deeply conservative pal who was also a marine and jayhawk who quite literally threw me out of his home one night. I blame most of it on his inability to handle his drinking. One beer, he got loud. Two beers louder. Three beers and it as nothing but "fffffffcking Liberals'.
I never got that. I asked what he meant by that and he could not explain it beyond some vague 1960's stereotypes.
