One question posed, What is God. Well, his interpretation is that God is that which was at the beginning of time. This rises above and beyond all the frills, stories, myths and legends, themselves are little more than efforts to explain our existence. Hebrews from the beginning were awesome story tellers. No surprise they do well in entertainment and Hollywood. Hebrews tell a tale - like all the great tales of beginnings of wars, victories and defeats.
I am always amused that it is their story that must be taken as "true". The faith of Christianity resulted from the efforts of folks around long after the time of the Yeshua figure of Nazareth. That one was a devout Jew who fought for the poor and outcast. And he "battled" really against Materialism as much as anything.
I liked your post by the way. I personally don't take much anymore to a Dualist Theology. I don't get this idea of Sin or some need for forgiveness. Be true in your heart. Face the times you missed the mark and commit to a truer path, I guess. Of course, that is the Path of Jihad - the struggle we all face with our courser, ego-driven, selfish nature.
