Now I can see what it says. Some other knowledgeable fans attribute her leaving more to playing time concerns. Maybe there is a little truth in both.
I’m thinking she just didn’t feel comfortable here, for a variety of reasons, and would prefer to be somewhere else. That’s fine, hope she finds what she is looking for.
I will say that Mizzous offensive identity and game plan was often hard to discern this year in particular. I don’t think this is a strength of RPs frankly. Too many times offensive possessions were basically wasted as the ball gets passed around and around, resulting in the shot clock expiring or a rushed, low percentage shot. That’s a result of having so few players who can actually create something on their own. Including Sophie. And the lack of a true point guard, which will now be an issue for at least another year.
Hopefully Blackwell and Frank will both be great players from day 1 and create a new offensive dynamic. Because if they don’t, this team doesn’t have a chance in heck of finishing in the top 8 in the SEC.
