Let’s start with the most stupid. Do you really believe there is no socialist platform?
Every single Dem candidate has endorsed the following or refused to take a stand.
- Medicare for all
- Forgiveness of all student loans
- Free College
- Reparations
- The Green New Deal
Those would cost the country trillions of dollars and every single one of them is a socialist program.
Trump removed thousands of impediments to business that Obama put into place. The economy recovered under Obama but business was not reinvesting because of the anti-business climate of the Obama administration. As soon as Trump took office business started using those funds and creating jobs. To get where we are two things had to happen, the economy had to improve and business had to believe the policies would allow them to succeed and flourish. Only one of those happened under Obama.
The Dem base has moved so far left in the past four years that even a self identified socialist like Bernie is having to move further left to appease them. If a candidate has to track that far left to secure the nomination there is no way to bring it back to the center. You may be stupid enough to buy something like that, the millions of moderate voters would not be.
