all the Dems are moving farther and farther left to appease their base and secure the nomination.

The problem with that is as they move to the left they lose more and more middle of the road independents and even some moderate Dems.

Trump is not a likable person but his policies have been great for Americans and specifically working class American families. To win the Dem nomination a candidate is likely going to have to adopt a socialistic platform. So the choice for voters will be do we want an economically and politically strong country with a jerk at the helm or do we want a nice guy who will put us on the road to becoming Venezuela?
