The FBI opens an investigation into the Trump Campaign's multitude of contacts with Russian agents. They send an FBI agent to go along with Halper (an informant) to ask Papa to write an academic paper on Mediterranean Sea energy issues.

Upon their meeting, according to Papa, both Halper and Turk asked him whether he knew about Russian hacks of Democrats. Papa says he had knowledge of Russian hacking operations, and conveyed that to the two covert agents.

Papadopoulos says that he did not meet again with Turk.


Thats about the summary of what happened, yes?

The FBI opened its counterintelligence investigation of the campaign on July 31, 2016, after receiving information from the Australian government regarding Papadopoulos.

Seriously, what is being alleged that is bad? It seems to me like this is business as usual, to be perfectly honest.
