They have tried the up and comers (Heath and Pelphrey) and they tried to go back to a connection to their better days in Anderson. It's not too dissimilar to what Mizzou has done.
At this point they need to realize that the Richardson era was a flash in the pan and not something they should expect on the regular. They have no natural recruiting territory (even SLU). St. Louis is closer than Memphis and Cuonzo/Big 10 coaches seem to have it on lock down at the moment. Memphis will be hard with Penny Hardaway there not to mention the other SEC schools in close proximity.
As crazy as it sounds they should at least talk to Travis Ford. They need to develop a pipeline into St. Louis or Memphis to sustain any success. Mike Anderson's biggest failure was probably not being able to leverage his Missouri connections to get Missouri talent to Arkansas.
