“Often times people go into tournaments (saying,) ‘It’s anybody’s tournament,’” said Martin, whose Tigers are the No. 12 seed in Nashville. “I think the top teams really have to play bad (to lose). Of course, when you’re in these settings shots fall and stuff happens, but you have to have personnel. You can’t go into a setting like this with seven, eight guys unless they’re really good. You’re fighting. Those top teams are your better teams for a reason. They have balance. They have go-to guys. They have guys who can make shots and defend you.
“I’m not sure it’s as balanced as people like to say on the surface. It sounds good, but I don’t think so.”
