We have one of probably 7 or less actual centers in the nation with any talent, and we have a near complete inability to get him the ball in positions he can score. If he ever receives the ball in good scoring position he converts nearly every time, but it is an extreme struggle to deliver those scenarios and often take 5 or 6 failed attempts before we can actually accomplish it.
Games like Ole Miss for Tilmon should be nearly impossible. Instead they are reasonably common. We can’t feed the post, he doesn’t know how to establish position or receive those feeds, and more often than not our offensive design puts him in non scoring positions. Given the limited amount of assets we actually have, to not have a way to effectively leverage him when he may be our only competitive advantage most games is rather poor design and frustrating.
