and losers. Amazon will thrive wherever. Tax incentives are a way for municipal governments to make choices about how to incentivize business growth and investment in their area That is most certainly a role of government. Government subsidizing industries, like ethanol or solar energy, is another thing. That is trying to create a winner and I would agree government has no business in that.
