I don't understand why people get Ring Doorbells

it's fixed and since it has a doorbell attached to it you mount it low.

Get a different outdoor security camera (like Nest) that has the exact same functionality except you cna put it where ever you want (including a high vantage point) and point it however you want.

With a Ring Doorbell I'd see about 1/4 of what I'm able to see with my Nest camera.
