When you say "This is what separates us from other conferences and fans. This is what being in the SEC means. It is this lack of fan support for the conference or other SEC fans that puzzles so many of us about Missouri." concerning equality and all that, yes that's true.

But being the most successful conference has been largely due to being located in the hotbed of talent that is the south makes a big difference. Success and winning makes things a hell of a lot easier, and having the right geography has provided that over the years.
