The difference is that you just stare and blame at all the bad decisions that came about that child that has a much reduced opportunity at life.

I actually desire something to be done about it. I don't know what or exactly how, but lots can be done to make that opportunity better for that kid.

To me..any kid (black or white) that chooses education and a meaningfull job is a win over a kid that chooses a gang life.

I wish more people (charities, businesses, black, white, etc.) would flock to these neighborhoods and show these kids the opportunities for them...and how we can utilize their talents to make this world a better place.

Instead we have a system that uses and abuses them from both sides...liberals and conservatives..and that is sad.
