5th year seniors are good to have, and I'm happy those guys turned out having decent career with lower level teams. Lets not exaggerate the talent level those guys were playing against as 5th year seniors.
That first team of his may have lacked coaching, but it also was pretty void of D-I talent. Haith left very little behind, and Anderson faced a difficult challenge since he wasn't hired until April 28th (long after most coaching changes had been made). He was not well connected with upper D-I recruiting circles, and Alden was not honest with him regarding some of the improprieties under Haith's tenure.
All in all it was not a good formula for success, and their were MANY factors that played into the formula.
It's time to let it lie and move on............
