3) An 'odd' name is definitely a hindrance to even getting past the HR resume screening. WTF are parents thinking when they name their kids something 'non-traditional' (like Dweezel or Moon Unit or abcde or Precious or ....) Employers hire people who are 'like them' and this country encourages assimilation, not oddness....
