Iowa State is 1/2 hr from Des Moines has doesn’t really compete with Chiefs, Royals, Cards or Blues for attention. They compete with Iowa but it is really easy to drive up to Ames from DM for a weeknight hoops game and definitely a football game. I think MU still gets more football fans, historically, than ISU.
