Pointing out when you are wrong is a pleasure.

I do share your concern about the smaller lineup and the 'FGCU' approach. We don't have a lot of choices though, after losing Frericks to graduation, C. Porter to medical retirement, and now 6-4 freshman Garner to injury. Although the new approach was revealed before she was injured. To an extent we have to go with the hand we are dealt, with a team overloaded with shooting guards and very little inside size and talent. And in the long run this is not how you achieve long term, high level success in a rugged conference like the SEC. That much I agree with. However, we need to see how this plays out over the course of the season. Here are my glass half full thoughts:

1. Sophie and Amber Smith, at 6'1 and 5'11, play much bigger than their actual size. Berg has good size at 6'0. And Tahane and Schuchts at 6'1 and 6'2 have decent size and will give us some quality minutes so we avoid getting totally slaughtered on the boards.

2. Rebounding isn't just about size, although that certainly helps. Its also about things like quickness, positioning, and effort. I think we will hold our own on the boards with most teams we play.

3. I'm hoping we aren't going to go full crazy on the 3 pointers like the team that bounced us from the tourney last year. I agree that's a feast or famine approach. But we do have a ton of great and potentially great 3 point shooters. But a quick, passing offense can get you a lot of opportunities so you don't have to just fire up 3s all game.

4. I think we are going to be pleasantly surprised at how Mizzou looks with a real, true point guard in Levy, as long as she is mature and steady enough to excel immediately. It's going to open up the court and make for more easy looks. We struggled last year at times getting into an offensive flow without a true point guard, and ended a lot of possessions just chucking the ball up or turning it over.

5. Coach RP is also intending to go to more of a pressure defense, like Auburn, and I like that a lot. That will create more easy offensive possessions. And we have the former Auburn star Frerking on our bench to help with that.

I think this is going to be a fun bunch to watch. We are going to have great depth too and will be able to tire some teams out.

I'll give you a prediction of where we will finish in the SEC and where we will get seeded after I see a few actual games. It's going to be tough, but I think this team can still be highly successful.
