notoriously slow out of the gate. Since we have no control over the conference schedule, which is basically the back 2/3rds of the season, would it really help to add better teams to the front end?
If we had played Creighton's schedule would we have beaten any of those teams in September? I think we would do fine against them now but we may have went 0-fer when we would be forced to play them.
So is playing tougher competition and probably losing better than playing down and winning. And if we had played better teams and lost a bunch of games up front would we be in the same place we are now? Kreklow is definitely a disciple of the Bill Snider school of scheduling and team building. It can be frustrating but it has proven successful.
