reality" or what exactly that entails, but my suggestion regarding your post is for people to stop seeing other people so collectively and to start seeing them individually.
Don't put people in a box based on a roughly shared trait and then judge the entire box of those people. This should be applied in all possible directions: 1. don't see every black person as a criminal, 2. don't see every white person as privileged, 3. don't see every black person as a victim, etc.
Take each person individually and choose to further engage that person based on your interpersonal interactions alone. And don't worry about minor transgressions (i.e. microaggressions) or even more serious transgressions that happen remotely from you. That someone said an inappropriate word or phrase about a box of people shouldn't worry you. Just ignore it.
This philosophy is clear, consistent, and easy to explain to any rational person. You'll be happier after fully embracing it. I know from personal experience.
