it is easier to escape by moving to another state.

Example strict gun laws and high taxation in Illinois. Outside of Chicago there is a large percentage who are pro gun conservatives. But Chicago dominates the entire state. So people have moved from Illinois to Indiana or Missouri.

This also highlights why power should be decentralized. Why should Chicago politics dominate an entire state?

Let Chicagoans have their gun laws and high taxes. Let the rest of the state determine what is best for themselves.
