we went through this last night too. it's like you can't learn.
while not law, but based on jurisprudence, the DOJ policy is that a sitting president can't be charged.
the procedure is he is impeached and THEN he can be charged.
why is that so hard to get?
i get that you might disagree with it, but it's most certainly not settled law.
and we go back to what exactly do you want? do you want a JG clone on the court?
you're unlikely to get someone who is 100% your ideological match.
despite some shortcomings, BK is your best hope for the SC right now. there's a very good chance the Dems take the Senate in midterms and if so you'll be stuck with someone far worse for you a, self-identified, conservative.
