They aren't necessarily better that way, there just aren't any bigs that are effective scoring on the blocks anymore and if they are they are slow and lumbering so it detrimentally impacts you in other areas.

If there was an actual big who was a dominant back to the basket player and also very mobile that would always be better. That is just a nearly extinct concept, but Tilmon could become that guy.
