felony charges against manafort. I don't think that Blake is smart enough to realize that each time (each year), Manafort filed an income tax return (after his accountant redid the numbers because Manafort didn't want to pay that much) - is a separate count. The fact that Manafort "earned" the $$ overseas, and kept it in foreign bank accounts, which he lied about on each income tax return, is a separate charge.
Blake really doesn't seem to comprehend that Manafort isn't the "average" tax cheat. For there to be an "average", exceptional cheats, like Manafort, will get 10 years, while "petty" cheats will get suspended sentences. Manafort will "up" the average.
It also appears that Blake can't wrap his head around the concept that "300 years" means the maximum sentence - if the judge were to give Manafort the max sentence for each crime that he is charged with - AND require Manafort to serve those sentences consecutively. The judge won't do that, it will be concurrent sentencing - 10 years or so.
